Minute Masterclass: Raw Nutella Balls

Who doesn’t love the rich, chocolatey taste of Nutella? These raw, vegan Nutella balls pack that same incredible flavour into a healthy (and portable) snack without the guilt. 
Seriously easy to make, this literally hands-on recipe is perfect for keeping little idle paws busy during the school holidays.

Ingredients
½ cup date puree or finely chopped dates
2 tablespoons powdered cocoa nibs
4 tablespoons hazelnut spread
2 tablespoons coconut oil, softened
½ teaspoons cinnamon
1 generous pinch of salt
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup puffed quinoa

Crunchy coating

½ Puffed quinoa
½ Chopped hazelnuts

Method
1. Place cinnamon, salt, powdered cocoa nibs and puffed quinoa into a bowl and mix well.
2. Add the date spread, maple syrup, coconut oil and combine.
3. Place the mix into the fridge for 30 minutes s to firm up.
4. Divide the mix into 16 even pieces and gently roll into balls with your hands. Place on a tray.
5. Mix the extra hazelnuts and quinoa to make a crunchy coating.
6. Roll the balls in the crunchy mix to finish.
