One of Sydney’s most prolific digital artists, Brad Eastman (aka Beastman), has unveiled his latest work at Westpoint – an original hand painted mural designed to celebrate Blacktown’s unique landscape and character.

The mural, which stands almost eight metres high and covers the centre’s northern lift shaft, is aptly named “Elevation.”

After creating art for major brands including Facebook, Hyundai, Apple, Adidas, Tennis Australia and Red Bull, Brad has brought his talents closer to home to create a legacy for the Blacktown community.

Elevation is a geometric collage which explores the theme of man versus nature and is intended to spark conversation about the positive and negative impacts of human intervention in the natural world.

The abstract patterns within the mural represent waterways, trees and fields alongside building materials, architecture and pathways

The merging patterns show how the distinction between natural and man-made landscapes has become blurred, with human-designed elements taking on a life of their ownsymbolised by watchful eyes throughout the mural.

Elevation is one of six new artworks and sculptures installed as part of a major upgrade to the centre’s retail, dining and entertainment precinct on level 4.

Find this artwork between Volcanos and Dining Collective on the new look Level 4.
